چکیده
A 45-day incubation and leaching experiments was conducted to determine the effect of different rates (0, 1, 2, 3, 5 t ha−1) enriched empty fruit bunches biochar (EEFB) inorganic fertilizer (91 kg ha−1 triple superphosphate—TSP) on availability losses phosphorus from sandy soil (tin tailing soil). The treatments for study were designated as T1—without (control), T2—inorganic treatment using TSP T3, T4, T5, T6, which refers EEFB rate ha−1, respectively. prepared by shaking with chicken manure extract 24 h. addition soils found increase pH compared control treatment. After 45 days incubation, percentage in available P recorded 1.6, 2.9, 2.8, 4.1%, whereas treatment, reduce 10% 83%, Loss via higher control. However, highest among all this treatments. From study, it observed that can be used recapture transport soil, thereby reducing problems associated application.

Conversion of Oil Palm Empty Fruit Bunch to Biofuels
Crude palm oil production is reaching 48.99 million metric tonnes per year globally in 2011 and Southeast Asia is the main contributor, with Indonesia accounting for 48.79%, Malaysia 36.75%, and Thailand 2.96% (Palm Oil Refiners Association of Malaysia, 2011). Oil palm is a multi-purpose plantation and it is also an intensive producer of biomass. Accompanying the production of one kg of palm oi...
متن کاملEffect of Silica Bodies on the Mechanical Behaviour of Oil Palm Empty Fruit Bunch Fibres
The surface of oil palm empty fruit bunch fibres contains embedded silica bodies or protrusions. The mechanical contribution of the protrusions towards the integrity of the fibres is still not clearly investigated. In this work, 2D and 3D finite element simulations on the surface and cross section of the fibres, respectively, were performed. The information for the models was obtained from scan...
متن کاملFeasibility of Anaerobic Co-composting Empty Fruit Bunch with Activated Sludge from Palm Oil Mill Wastes for Soil Conditioner
Utilisation of palm oil mill wastes to make soil conditioner through anaerobic co-composting is feasible and has the potential to maintain the natural resources, and to reduce the impact on environmental quality in the future. Co-composting process uses pressed-shredded-grinded empty fruit bunch (EFB) with activated sludge (AS) from the pond system of a palm oil mill as a suitable option for or...
متن کاملIn vitro and in silico characterization of metagenomic soil-derived cellulases capable of hydrolyzing oil palm empty fruit bunch
Diversification of raw material for biofuel production is of interest to both academia and industry. One attractive substrate is a renewable lignocellulosic material such as oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) empty fruit bunch (OPEFB), which is a byproduct of the palm oil industry. This study aimed to characterize cellulases active against this substrate. Cellulases with activity against OPEFB ...
متن کاملBasic Properties of Oven–Heat Treated Oil Palm Empty Fruit Bunch Stalk Fibers
The fibers of oil palm empty fruit bunch (OPEFB) stalks were investigated to determine the changes in their basic properties after oven-heat treatment. The oven-heat treatment was conducted at 100 °C or 190 °C for 15 min. There were slightly noticeable morphological, chemical, and thermal alterations in oven-heat treated OPEFB stalk fibers for short duration. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) ...
